No one should have to hide, suffer alone, or undermine the extent of their feelings. LOST openly addresses illnesses such as anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, self injury and suicidal thoughts. We welcome anyone dealing with these issues, as well as their affected family members and friends.
At our sessions, subjects such as depression, anxiety, mindfulness, self-injury and addiction are openly discussed. We provide a safe and comfortable environment for anyone who is dealing, or knows someone who is dealing with these issues to come and discuss, or listen, to people’s stories and gain insight into these various problems.
A topic is assigned every week to be discussed, which our dedicated team provides material and discussion. Every session includes a discussion of a certain topic, an activity and plenty of open discussion.
The groups are open to everyone. While it is not mandatory to attend all 12 sessions, it is strongly encouraged to do so. There is no registration required. You may choose to attend or not to attend whatever session with no prior notice. If you have missed earlier sessions, you are still more than welcome to come as each session will deal with a different topic. Many people have different jumping-on points throughout the 12 week period.
When attending, it is up to your discretion if you wish to participate in the conversation. We know that communicating in an open setting can be daunting for people struggling with mental health issues. So although certain topics will be discussed openly, there is no obligation to share. However, if you decide you would like to speak, we welcome you open-heartedly as well!
The sessions are free. We do however accept small donations every week. There is no obligation to pay.
